It’s late on a weeknight. You go to the fridge to get your greens for the next day’s smoothies, open the produce drawer and…
Damn. Not again.
You’re midway through the 10 Day Green Smoothie Cleanse, and once again you’re caught greens-less. Why? They’ve gone bad. Slimy. A bit smelly. What was green and crisp only a few days ago at purchase, is now yellowing, wilted and soggy. You’re especially mad, because you paid a premium for organic, or bought in bulk at the farmer’s market or warehouse club. And now you’ve got to toss it all.
Been there. Done that. But not anymore. And now you too can put an end to the madness, and stop throwing away your hard-earned money. Check out my 7-minute video below for the ultimate solution:
I am really feeling these giant frozen cubes right now. The blue silicone mold featured in the video is available on Amazon.com for $15.95, which includes a set of 2 ice cube trays. The lid, a feature missing from most traditional ice cube trays sold, allows you to stack these trays in the freezer AND avoid cross-contamination with other freezer odors and tastes. The silicone has the added benefit of being easy to bend, twist and pop the cubes out when frozen solid. These also work great for freezing individual 1/2 cup portions of vegetable stock, broths, baby food and frozen herb blends.
Whether you choose to use these or experiment with traditional ice cube trays, try it and let me know what you think!
